Since founding the company in September of 2001, Ersan Ögmen and Olaf Schimmel have made quality a high priority in their business.

In August of 2004, in order to maintain these high standards even amidst strong growth, we introduced a quality management system based on ISO 9001:2000. The first certification audit of this new system took place in May of 2005 and now on 17th of May 2008 the audit for the recertification of our quality management system took place again. The company responsible for carrying out the audit, Bureau Veritas Certification Deutschland GmbH (www.bureauveritas.de) then officially confirmed that active logistics & trading gmbh had fulfilled all the requirements of the QM certification and thus successfully introduced and implemented an ISO 9001:2000 management system.

To further enhance our overall system, we have now added a safety management aspect and are planning to carry out an SQAS assessment in this financial year using a third-party consultancy. The goal is to complete the assessment in the next financial year through a CEFIC-accredited auditor (for more information about SQAS / CEFIC go to: www.sqas.org/road/; www.cefic.be).
